Entrepreneur with Down syndrome bakes, sells dog treats

CLERMONT, FL - On any given Sunday at the Clermont Farmers Market, Allison Fogarty is scouring the crowds for four-legged customers.

Cute ones. Fuzzy ones. Big ones. Little ones.

If it's a dog, Fogarty wants to give it a sample of her treats. And then maybe convince the dog's owner into buying a bag of goodies.

Fogarty, 27, owns Doggy Delights by Allison, a dog-treat company. She bakes the treats at her Clermont home and sells them - both online at www.doggydelightsbyallison.com and at the weekly farmers market.

Fogarty bakes a variety of flavors: Sweet Potato, Pumpkin, Chicken & Rice and Peanut Butter.

I met Fogarty at an event hosted by the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. She was so inspiring that I knew she'd make a great story on Orlando 60.
